GENERAL SANTOS CITY - The Commission on Elections on Monday, April 18, formally turned over the Local Absentee Voting Forms for the National and Local Elections 2022 to Police Regional Office 12 in Tambler, General Santos City.

In accordance with COMELEC Resolution No. 10725, PNP personnel and other workers who are unable to vote on the scheduled election day may file their application for Local Absentee Voting (LAV).

LAVs will allow personnel and other workers who are unable to vote in areas where they are not registered voters but are temporarily assigned to the area while performing their duties on election day.

PBGen. Alexander Tagum, Regional Director of PRO-12, urged his personnel not to disregard their right to vote on election day in spite not locally registered in their assigned areas.

Tagum reiterated that this is the reason why the COMELEC gave the privilege to PNP members to take local absentee voting, reminding his constituents to vote correctly who they feel are worthy to lead the country properly and effectively.

Meanwhile, personnel and other workers who shall use LAVs will be given a two-day voting period in a manual voting system.

It will start on April 27 to 29 where PNP members can vote from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
