MAGUINDANAO – The Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (BARMM-READi) of the Ministry of Interior and Local Government, with the help of the Philippine Red Cross - Cotabato City - Maguindanao Chapter and Commission on Audit BARMM, extended assistance to families submerged in floods in Pagalungan, Maguindanao, Sunday, April 10, 2022.
Residents of Barangay Layog and Barangay Damasalak, received ten kilos of rice, sardines and coffee.
According to Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Officer Benjamin Alip, these families have temporarily set up tents along the road since the municipal hall compound, and the evacuation center in the said barangays have also been flooded.
The local government of Pagalungan is thankful for the immediate delivery of assistance made possible by BARMM and the Philippine Red Cross.
