Cotabato City, Philippines - Puspusan na ang paghahanda ng Independent Decommissioning Body kasama ang iba pang normalization mechanisms ng Government of the Philippines at Moro Islamic Liberation Front o GPH-MILF para sa ikatlong decommissioning process ng mga MILF combatant.
Noong araw ng Huwebes, October 14, nagsagawa ng dry run ang IDB sa Old Provincial Capitol, Simuay, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.
Tatlumpong MILF-BIAF combatants ang nakiisa sa dry run.
Abot sa 14,000 na MILF-BIAF combatants ang isasailalim sa ikatatlong phase ng decommissioning process.
Sa kasalukuyan, mayroon nang 12,145 na MILF combatants ang tapos nang ma-decommissioned sa ilalim ng Phases 1 at 2 na isinagawa taong 2015 at 2019-2020 respectively.
Dumalo naman sa isinagawang dry run sina Member of the Parliament Atty. Laisa Alamia bilang GPH chair ng Task Force for Decommissioned Combatants and their Communities (TFDCC); Toks Ebrahim, bilang head secretariat ng MILF Joint Normalization Committee; Health Minister Dr. Bashary Latiph; Dir. Gen. ng MOH na si Dr. Amirel Usman at mga kinatawan mula sa Department of Social Welfare and Development Central Office at Region XII.
