Kael Palapar MAGUINDANAO — The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) has officially launched its Farm Business Schools in Datu Paglas, Datu Odin Sinsuat, and Datu Saudi Ampatuan in Maguindanao through a Memorandum of Agreement.

MAFAR has selected Bunawan Tri-People Marketing Cooperative in Datu Paglas Municipality with 30 farmer enrollees, Mamalu Tabunaway Descendants Organization in Datu Odin Sinsuat with 25 enrollees, and the Maaden Irrigators Association in Datu Saudi Ampatuan with 20 enrollees as their initial beneficiaries. MAFAR Supervising Agrarian Reform Program Officer Bai Shaharazad Lidasan said that Farm Business Program is like an educational system. It is designed to teach how farmers can maximize their product utilization to earn more profit from their agricultural products, learn marketing strategies, and other opportunities solely to uplift the farmers living conditions. Meanwhile, MAFAR encourages small-time farmers and fisherfolks to enroll in the said program despite not owning a business land.
