Ngayong nahati na ang probinsya ng Maguindanao, ang Maguindanao Del Sur at Maguindanao Del Norte, pag-uusapan pa ang magiging set-up ng Del Sur ayon sa MILG BARMM.
"Kasi yung Del Sur the seating governor of the provice of the Maguindanao is resident of the new province na successory interest of Maguindanao so siya talaga yung rightful governor dun sa Sur kasi doon siya residente. Ang merong legal issue talaga ay Maguindanao Del Norte because ang contemplation in the law that divided the province na nagkaroon ng plebiscite ay, kung mangyayare yung plebiscite 6 months before the May 2022 elections ang uupo ay yung next highest ranking officials na residente ng Maguindanao Del Sur, ang challenge lang ay hindi nangyare yung quotation ng batas na kung ito ay mangyayari before the election 'yon ang susundin 'yong transitory commission ng plebiscite law dividing the province of Maguindanao so babalik tayo 'don sa regular na pag fill up nung permanent vacancies in the provincial government offices." ani Atty. Maliban sa isyung hindi awtomatiko ang pagtatalaga ng mga uupo sa Del Norte, ipinaliwanag din ni Atty. Sinarimbo na hindi kay Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. manggagaling ang appointment kung hindi, kay Interim Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim.
"In the administrative regions hindi rin question kung hindi sa Autonomous Region nangyari... it's definite na yung presidente ang may supervision over the provinces but in the case of Autonomous Region meron siyang organic law meron siyang sariling government code so, mag-aapply ngayon 'yong regular na process kaya kung 'yon ang susundin na supervision over the provinces it exercise directly by the Chief Minister kasama 'yon sa mga power ng Chief Minister 'yong pag supervise dun sa mga province in the same manner na 'yong provincial governors supervise the mayor of the municipality and the mayor supervises the barangay officials under... Sa Del Norte ay hindi automatic yung succession sa Del Norte kasi mag sa-succeed sa previously na Governor yung Del Sur talagang clear na talaga na siya yung governor dun. Pinag-usapan pa with the National Government kung paano ang operational ngappointments dito kasi may mga steps na kailangan i-take para finally maging legal yung personality ng province ng Maguindanao Del Norte. Sa tingin po namin hindi kay presidente kasi kasama 'ypn sa mga dedicated na power ng Chief Minister under the autonomy law." Dagdag pa nito.
Sa loob ng animnapung araw, itinakda ang transition period matapos maratipika ang Republic Act 11550.
Matatandaan nitong katatapos lang na Maguindanao Plebiscite nitong September 17, nanaig ang “yes” votes sa turn out na 99.27 %. Sa katatapos na pagbisita ng mga opisyal ng Maguindanoa kay MILG Secretary Benhur Abalos, pinangalanan na ng opisyal ang mga ito at magiging posisyon sa bagong tatag na Maguindanao Del sur at Maguindanao Del Norte.
