NTF-DPAGs, PAIIGTINGIN ANG OPERASYON MATAPOS ANG PAGKAKABUWAG NG 15 ARMED GROUPS SA MINDANAO, BARMM
COTABATO CITY - Matapos ang matagumpay na pagkakabuwag sa labinlimang Private Armed Groups sa Mindanao lalo na sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, plano ngayon ng National Task Force on the Disbandment of Private Armed Groups na paiigtingin nito ang kanilang operasyon.
Sa naganap na 8th National Task Force on the Disbandment of Private Armed Groups (NTF-DPAGs) Oversight Committee Meeting, inaprubahan ang Joint Operational Guidelines ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National (PNP).
Ang operational guidelines, na ginawa ng National Task Group on Operations, ang magsisilbing “bedrock for the future campaigns” ng national government laban sa PAGs. Nakasaad dito ang mga polisiya, alintuntunin at procedures na kailangang sundin ng AFP at PNP sa pag-neutralize ng mga Private Armed Groups.
Lumagda rin sa isang Memorandum of Agreement ang mag member-agencies ng NTF-DPAGs sa pagitan ng iba’t ibang national line agencies kung saan nakatuon ito sa inisyatiba ng rehabilitasyon at reintegration oara sa mga sumukong PAG members.
Bukod dito, inaprubahan rin sa nasabing pagpupulong ang iba’t ibang agenda.
* A Transition Plan for the next administration;
* A Revised Monitoring and Evaluation Tool which validates the operations of the NTF;
* A NTF-DPAGs Flow Chart which explains how the NTF-DPAGs operates and functions;
* A NTF-DPAGs Orientation Module which outlines the mandate and streamline activities of the NTF and to ensure the maintenance of peace and security in localities; and,
* A commitment to increase the awareness level of local government units on NTF-DPAGs, and capacitate LGUs to encourage their participation on the NTF-DPAGs program implementation.
Bilang hakbang, nagsagawa ng information ang awareness activity ang NTF-DPAGs sa mga barangay sa mga probinsya ng Maguindanao at Lanao del Sur.
Ayon kay PLtGen Jose Chiquito Malayo, commander ng Task Force Western Mindanao, ang labinlimang nabuwag na PAGs ay binubuo ng 94 na miyembro na nagsuko ng 86 armas.
Isinaad rin ni PMGen Filmore Escobal, Task Force Eastern Mindanao Commander, na walang aktibo o potential PAGs ngunit mayroong labing apat na criminal gangs na nag-ooperate sa Northern Mindanao at Davao Region.
Samantala, inilarawan naman ni Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año ang ginawang operating guidelines bilang “most well-thought out and most proper operational guidelines that can be used by other task forces.”
Umaasa naman si Año na ang susunod na administrasyon ay ay pagtutuunan rin ang long term goals and capitalize gains of peace na napagtagumpayan sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
