OVER 3,500 FLOOD-AFFECTED FAMILIES IN MAGUINDANAO RECEIVE RELIEF ASSISTANCE

MAGUINDANAO - Flood-affected residents in the towns of Datu Salibo and Datu Montawal in Maguindanao received relief assistance from the Bangsamoro Government and Philippine Red Cross Cotabato City-Maguindanao Chapter.


The Bangsamoro Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (BARMM-READi) has spearheaded the distribution of relief assistance to more than 2,600 affected families in Datu Salibo town.


Data from BARMM-READi disclosed that among those who received relief assistances are residents of barangay Pagatin, Sambulawan, Butilen, Buayan, Tee, Andavit, Pandi, Penditen, Liong, Dado, Alonganen, Kalipapa, Duaminanga, Masigay, Magaslong, Balanaken and Damabalas.


More than 1,000 flood-affected families in Datu Montawal received relief assistance from the Ministry of Social Services and Development in a separate relief operation.


MSSD Minister Atty. Raissa Jajurie led the distribution of relief assistance to 450 families in 7 sitios in Barangay Talitay and 500 families in 5 sitios in Barangay Dungguan of the said town.


The local governments of Datu Salibo and Datu Montawal are grateful for the actions of BARMM-READi, MSSD and the Philippine Red Cross.
