PNP BARMM ARRESTS 60 LAW BREAKERS, WANTED PERSONS IN A WEEK

BANGSAMORO REGION — In line with the Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region's campaign against all forms of criminalities, 60 law violators, including wanted persons, were arrested region-wide.
In just a week, PRO-BAR has arrested 13 drug personalities and confiscated 30.415 grams of shabu with an estimated market value of 207,832 pesos. Its anti-illegal drugs campaign also yielded 10,320 pesos worth of marijuana. 36 of the said 60 law violators apprehended were wanted persons, including the top 1 most wanted person of Lanao Del Sur and Marantao. A village official of Lamitan City, one of the 10 Top Most Wanted Persons of Parang MPS, was also arrested. PNP BARMM also arrested ten persons for illegal gambling. Strict implementation and thorough inspection in COMELEC checkpoints resulted in an individual's arrest for carrying a firearm. In total, 53 assorted firearms were recovered, including 15 high-powered guns.

The PNP's intensified operations against illegal logging resulted in the recovery of 1,560 board feet of lumber worth 36,200 pesos in Patikul, Sulu, and Lantawan, Basilan.
120 cases of smuggled cigarettes worth 4.3 million pesos were also stopped and seized during the PNP's anti-smuggling operations in Sulu province. In intensifying the anti-terrorism campaign, the authorities killed a member of the Abu Sayyaf Group after clashing with troops in Basilan. Another ASG member in Basilan surrendered, and 13 BIFF members in Maguindanao surrendered to PRO BAR. Meanwhile, PBGen.
